Welcome To My Blog

FINALLY!

I’ve been contemplating this Blog Introduction for quite some time now. Scanning over the websites of other creatives, just to give me a feel of what the novelty of the “First Post” entails. Each time, getting cold feet because I never felt quite ready.

My aunt recently sent me a motivational video. Have you ever had that experience when something another person posts,  feels as though it is speaking directly to your heart? Yep. That is pretty much the reflective effect this spontaneous motivational video had on me. Which has lead to my unconventional “official” first post.
The video retells the story of the classic Bible story of the Master who gives “talents” to each of his three servants. Now, “talents” in this context could be interpreted figuratively or literally.

The figurative meaning could be interpreted as the inherent gifts- “talents”- that are harbored in each and every one of us. Waiting to be unleashed into the realization of a potential that, often, seems so unreachable.

The literal meaning of “talents”, in the context of this classic story, can be associated with the precious coins that used to be used as a form of currency in ancient civilizations. In which case, one would think that the servants could have invested these coins to earn subsequent gains on their initial investment.

As the story goes, two of the three servants managed to multiple the number of talents that were initially given to them by their Master. The last servant, however, hid his talents, at the fear of losing them. He was so afraid of the risk of the unknown investments that he decided complacency would hedge this perceived risk.

Joyce Meyer often says

“A bad decision is better than making no decision at all!”

Good comes from the failures and mistakes that we encounter. We learn, we recover,  we grow and we’re brought into a better position than before we stumbled.
I always thought that I needed to be in a certain point in my life before I could venture on this new journey. But the truth is, I’m as ready as I’ll ever be. Now. In this present moment. Even though I still have so much that I want to do, achieve and learn, the destination is within reach.

Without any more formalities, I’d like to to welcome everyone to my humble abode! Here, you’ll find (any maybe attempt to unwind) the fusions and complexities of my creative mind.

I hope that the work featured herein, amplified by inspirations and collaborations with extraordinary people, can spark you to embark on your own journey- to unmask the potential that is very much alive in you. Just because it is dormant, does not mean it is barren.
